Dr. Vikas Patel was born in Canada where he spent the first six years of his life. The remainder of his childhood was spent in the South including North Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas. He graduated from Duke University with honors (Magna Cum Laude) with a degree in Biology and Religion and a minor in Chemistry. He also attended medical school at Duke University. Dr. Patel did his internship in Internal Medicine in San Francisco and returned to Durham, NC to do his residency in Dermatology at Duke University. After completing residency, Dr. Patel practiced in Washington DC and its suburbs of Sterling, Virginia.
Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Other society memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the North Carolina Medical Society.
In addition to his clinical work, this Raleigh dermatologist has published several articles in dermatology journals on various topics in dermatology. He has presented at dermatology conferences and remains an active member in many local dermatology societies.

Rebecca Bialas, MD, MPH, is a board certified dermatologist with an interest in treating both adults and children with a variety of dermatologic conditions, including moles, eczema, acne, birthmarks, and skin cancers. Dr. Bialas also has a special interest in laser treatment of skin disorders, and she performs skin surgeries and cosmetic procedures including fillers and Botox.
Dr. Bialas attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She went on to earn her medical degree from UNC, as well as a Masters of Public Health. She completed an Internship in Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina, and then crossed "Tobacco Road" to complete her Dermatology Residency at Duke University. She served as Chief Resident during her last year of training. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Bialas grew up in Pennsylvania, and then spent several years in private practice in Tampa Bay before moving back to the North Carolina. Outside of the office she spends her time with her husband and two young children, baking, watching ACC basketball, running, and tending her flower garden. She enjoys being involved in the community through educational and volunteer work and feels privileged to have the opportunity to care for her patients and their skin.

Dr. Elizabeth Ju was born and raised in North Carolina. She attended Emory University as a Mellon Mays fellow, where she earned degrees in Biology and Music. She then attended medical school at the UNC School of Medicine. After graduation, she completed an internship in Pediatrics in Philadelphia, after which she returned to NC to complete her residency in Dermatology at Duke University.
She currently resides in Durham with her husband David, who she met in high school in Raleigh. Outside of work, she enjoys playing piano and cello, exploring new countries, hiking, cycling and scuba diving.
Dr. Ju is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the North Carolina Medical Society.
In addition to her clinical work, she has published articles on various topics in dermatology.

Emily Dionne graduate from the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill, Emily has been a North Carolina licensed medical aesthetician for the past 12 years. She has advanced training in medical-grade chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and lasers. She holds certifications in numerous medical-grade skincare products and cosmetics, including Skinceuticals, Obagi, Avene, and Neocutis. Emily stays up-to-date with the latest cutting-edge skincare products and techniques by participating in ongoing training programs
and continuing education programs.
Emily’s goal is to help her patients obtain and maintain healthy, beautiful skin. She prides herself in offering a warm, friendly, and relaxing environment for open discussion of skincare needs. Aside from her aesthetic work, Emily’s hobbies include yoga, singing, and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
